Hi, I’m Adele

Adele a photographer in Folkestone Kent

I’m an artist and higher education lecturer based in the UK.

I work across a range of mediums, but the majority of my work is photography or digital media-based. I’m originally from the working-class North of England and now live by the sea in Folkestone, Kent.

As a higher education lecturer, I work with Creative Arts students aged 18 and over, teaching them the business, professional, and employability skills they need to thrive as freelance creatives after education.

So many of the artists and creatives I know who have been working as freelancers for years have asked me if I could teach the topics I cover in college online, so they could learn what they were never taught in art school.

That’s how The Creative Tide was born. An online resource where artists and creatives can learn business skills and get the support they need to build a successful creative career.

ARTIST RESOURCES & GUIDES

One thing I’ve learnt from teaching Creative Arts students is that, like me, many of them are neurodivergent. Whilst they’re passionate about creating, they often need a little structure to help them focus on the business side of building a successful creative career.

Power hours, accountability sessions, and body doubling can make all the difference, giving them (and me!) the focus and motivation to tackle the less exciting aspects of freelancing.

If that sounds like you, I’ve created an online community designed to provide exactly that.
